About TryNano.orgBookmark and Share

TryNano.org is a resource for students, their parents, their teachers and their school counselors.  It was created jointly by IEEE, IBM, and the New York Hall of Science for the benefit of the public. TryNano.org is an initiative led by the IEEE Nanotechnology Council and the IEEE Educational Activities Board with funding from the IEEE New Initiatives Committee.

The portal focuses on nanotechnology, and we hope it will help young people understand the basic issues addressed by this discipline.  We also strive to offer insight into the nanotechnology industry and describe careers in nanotechnology.

On our site, users can explore nanomaterials and learn about different applications of nanotechnology.  There are also spotlights of different companies and universities that apply nanotechnology to products and processes.

Other resources include links to university programs in nanotechnology and lesson plans for the classroom.
